ABC Orthotic accreditation recognizes those orthotic patient care facilities that promote the best patient care and business practices in the profession. ABC accredited facilities are subject to an extensive on-site survey process.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and many third-party health insurers require that patient care facilities be accredited.

All ABC Accredited Orthotic facilities are bound by the ABC Code of Professional Responsibility which is enforced by a Professional Discipline program.

The time limited accreditation expires every three years and facilities are resurveyed at that time.
