About Global Custodian

Global Custodian and The TRADE, both Asset International publications, have been running their market-leading client perception surveys for 25 years. The surveys measure exceptional performance across all areas of banking, as decided by banks’ clients in markets across the world. The surveys identify excellence across core service categories and various client subgroups. In each case, a select number of outstanding service providers are identified for inclusion in the Roll of Honor. Roll of Honor awards reflect the breadth and depth of clients responding for particular banks as well as the high scores and positive comments received from those clients. Additionally, the three Agent Banks surveys measure banks’ performance against the global standard, against competitor banks in their own market, and across a number of core service categories.

Global Custodian has been running its Agent Banks Survey for 25 years. This year, we introduce a new award: Category Outperformer. Banks that have achieved Category Outperformer status are those that have achieved an overall weighted average score in at least one service area that is equal or superior to the weighted average of all scores awarded to all survey participants in that service area. This award is equivalent to the ‘Best-in-Class’ award of previous years, as referenced by the white star on the badge. Banks that have achieved Market Outperformer status are those whose overall weighted score is equal or superior to the weighted average of total scores awarded to banks within a particular market (major, emerging or frontier).
